Share your own boat position with friends using Live Tracking

With the Live Tracking feature you can send a link to friends who stayed at home so that they can always see the position of the latest logbook entry and the track covered so far.

Setting it up

The prerequisite is that you use the Logbook Sync service for the logbook whose track you want to share. Once you have enabled sync for the logbook, you can generate the link to share with friends in the settings under “Sharing” via “Send Live Tracking link”.

Technical note

The link generated in the app looks like this: https://logbook-app.com/live-tracking/cloud.php?s=12345… Everything after ?s= is the first 64 characters of your secret key from the Logbook Sync service.
