Can I edit the logbook database? Export, edit, import
Understanding the Logbook app’s SQLite database: export it, edit it on your computer and import it back — for example to merge many logbooks into one.

1. Your data: a single SQLite database
Everything the app records lives in one SQLite database — logbooks with their maintenance entries, regular entries, data, images, manoeuvres and more. It’s your data, and you can export the whole database at any time: Tools → Export logbook → SQLite.
Then save the file — for example to iCloud via the Files app on iOS, or to Google Drive on Android — or email it to yourself to carry on working on it on your computer.
2. Edit the database on your computer
How the database is structured — which tables it contains and how logbooks, entries and waypoints relate to each other — is documented in detail: github.com/logbook-app-com/logbook-app-database. It also includes examples of how to query and modify the data with common SQLite tools.
The example from the question is one of them: to merge many logbooks into one, give the entries of all the old logbooks the same logbook ID. Edit the database carefully, and all the passages of the past three years will then live in a single shared logbook.
3. Import the edited database back into the app
Back on your device: via Tools → Import SQLite database (iOS: send the file to the app using the Share button), select the edited file and then the logbook to import.
After that you have both in the app: your existing logbooks and the new, merged one. If anything doesn’t work, just get in touch via the Support page.
